Topic: Residential Photovoltaic Latest & Now
This presentation will introduce photovoltaics for residential Green Building and discuss the impacts of California Title 24 (Part 6 & 11) Energy Efficiency & Green Building and 15% better (Tier 1&2) requirements on solar energy. We'll also talk about AB 2473, the amended solar right act and AB 920, the recently passed law on surplus solar electricity payment and its effect on PV sizing and rebates.
Residential photovoltaics and upcoming technology will be covered including available technology in mono crystalline, poly crystalline, thin film, BIPV (building integrated PV), PV technology efficiency and comparison, and energy storage battery backup consideration. We'll look into upcoming technology in organic photovoltaic (OPV), nano solar, and other advance solar technology with their possible residential applications. And very briefly go over the residential PV design steps from energy audit, solar source analysis, PV array & inverter sizing, PV panel layout to single line system diagram.
Our guest speaker will touch on a PV Finance talk about new group purchase models for residential solar and address the questions: What is 1BOG.org and How can it help your clients get a better price on a PV system.
